Thank you for your participation in our event on Consumer electronics retail – Facilitating the green and digital transition

The consumer electronic retail sector has a central role to play in the EU digital and sustainability transition. It connects people and electronics in a green circular economy model and helps to build skills through an inclusive approach.

Our event covered the key trends that are shaping the sector, including consumer empowerment and digital education. We discussed the Single Market and its current state and address the importance of the human touch – a people-centred approach.

The European Commission attended our discussions on the sustainability transition, and we engaged with the WEEE forum on the role of the consumer electronics retail sector in WEEE recycling.
