Food waste remains one of the key sustainability challenges across the food supply chain. The SISTERS Final Conference will bring together policymakers, industry experts and innovators to discuss practical solutions and the next steps to reduce food waste.
Our colleague Els Bedert will take part in the Policy Roundtable at 16:45, contributing to the discussion on policy recommendations for national and EU policymakers and the future uptake of innovative solutions to tackle food waste.
The event will feature dynamic discussions, idea-sharing and networking with experts working on innovative approaches to reduce food waste across Europe.

Director, Product Policy & Sustainability
Els works on food, non food and sustainability policies. She focuses on farm to fork and has led the sectors positioning on official controls, food safety, organic production, market surveillance, chemical regulation and more. Els is a Belgian national and alumna of Ghent University. She speaks Dutch, English and French.
