On 30 September 2025, leading European business associations and policymakers will gather in Brussels for a high-level breakfast event dedicated to the future of the EU Single Market.

The initiative, organised by the “Single Market 6” – BusinessEurope, DIGITALEUROPE, Eurochambres, EuroCommerce, the European Round Table for Industry (ERT) and SMEunited – aims to reignite the spirit of the Single Market and explore the next steps needed to complete it.

The event will be co-hosted by Members of the European Parliament Lídia Pereira (EPP, Portugal) and Laura Ballarín Cereza (S&D, Spain), and moderated by journalist Maria Tadeo. It will bring together key decision-makers, including Danish Minister for Business Morten Bødskov and Irish Minister for Enterprise Peter Burke. They will be joined by Kerstin Jorna, Director-General at DG Grow, European Commission, as well as the leaders of the major European business associations behind the event.

This gathering will provide a unique opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the Single Market while addressing the challenges that still remain. With contributions from both political leaders and business representatives, the discussions will focus on concrete ways to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, improve integration, and ensure the Single Market continues to serve as the cornerstone of European prosperity.

Attendance is by invitation only.
